We discussed earlier this week about how the development of the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) was now influencing the development entire cities and even countries, and to illustrate this, Belarus’s largest logistics operator Beltamozhservice has just announced the launch of a regular multimodal service for shipping containers with LCL freight from Belarus to Turkiye through the Russian port of Novorossiysk.
The company stated that “The multimodal service includes the formation of a container train at the Minsk-Beltamozhservice-2 transport and logistics center at Kolyadichi, shipment to Novorossiysk Port on the Black Sea, and then by sea to Gebze Port in Turkiye. The first shipment has already been dispatched.”
Gebze Port, near Istanbul, is an important logistics center that serves both international shipping and local trade and plays an important role in transit between Europe and Asia. The port has modern infrastructure, including internal container terminals, warehouses, and logistics centers, as well as connections to major highways and railways. It is a critical link in Turkey’s supply chains.
Beltamozhservice is the national logistics operator, a state-owned company, and a major exporter of goods from Belarusian manufacturers. The company actively uses Russian ports in its multimodal logistics and is now integrating that connectivity to better use INSTC facilities, widening Belarus’s export reach.
