The first scheduled flight from Belarus to Vietnam has taken place, with the Belarusian Foreign Ministry’s press service saying that “on March 19, the launch of the first scheduled flight to Vietnam on the Minsk-Nha Trang route took place. On March 20, the flight was met in Nha Trang by Belarusian Ambassador to Vietnam Vladimir Borovikov.”
The flights are operated by Belavia using long-haul Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The second flight between Minsk and Nha Trang is scheduled for March 27, and from March 31, flights will be operated on a regular basis three times a week. Nha Trang is on the Vietnamese east coast and is renowned for its long beaches and excellent seafood. With improving relations with the United States, Belarus is beginning to develop as an alternative flight corridor for Russian nationals living close to the Belarus borders.
