Kazakhstan will complete repairs this year on a road section linking the town of Zhanaozen in western Kazakhstan with the Turkmen border, part of the Turkmenistan-Russia transport corridor, according to Kazakh Transport Minister Nurlan Sauranbayev.

He stated, “Temir-Baba, a checkpoint on the Kazakh-Turkmen border, directs links to the border north with Russia. Repair work is being done on the Zhanaozen section on the border with Turkmenistan. This section is part of the Turkmenistan-Russia corridor.”
