New Shipping Routes Open Between Russia and Egypt

Two new shipping lines are to open between Russia and Egypt for the transportation of refrigerated containers. Egypt’s Global Logistics, an agent of the Cairo forwarder Fox Shipping, will become the operator of two marine container lines: El Dekheila – Novorossiysk and El Dekheila – St. Petersburg. El Edkhelia is the main port of Alexandria on the Mediterranean coast.

Vessels designed to carry up to 350 refrigerated containers will be used on these routes, which are planned to operate twice-weekly services. Due to these new supply chains, the total supply of Egyptian food to the Russian market may increase by 700 containers per week. Like Russia, Egypt is  full member of the BRICS group.
