Preparations for Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to North Korea are ongoing, according to Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov. North Korea’s leader Kim Jong Un invited Putin to visit his country when he travelled to Russia in September. It was reported earlier that the countries would work to set a time for Putin’s trip.
Any trip would likely take place in late summer / early autumn. North Korea has reportedly been ramping up production of its military equipment to supply Russia, while in return Russia has been providing rocket guidance technologies. However, apart from the military aspect, other trade issues have been discussed, including energy, agriculture, machinery, marine fishing and tourism.
