Russia has exported 19,900 tonnes of grain to Armenia via Azerbaijan since November, according to Azerbaijan’s Report news agency. The news is significant, as it illustrates that Azeri-Armenian logistics and supply chains are now operating normally after the two countries fought a war in 2023 that created significant damage.
The conflict wasn’t resolved until 2024, while Azerbaijan didn’t lift cross-border transits to Armenia until October 2025. The first shipment of Russian grain products followed the Russia-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Armenia route the following month.

The report said that another freight train comprising 25 railcars with 1,750 tonnes of Russian grain transiting Azerbaijan to Armenia departed from the Balajari railway station in Baku on February 1, heading to Georgia from Armenia’s Dalarik railway station.
To date, 285 wagons with grain totaling 19,900 tonnes have already been shipped from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan.
