Russia’s Ozon Opens In Turkmenistan

The Russian online marketplace Ozon has entered Turkmenistan’s market, opening sales in the country, the company has said.

Consumers in Turkmenistan will be able to receive their orders at branches of the postal operator Turkmenpochta; delivery at the initial stage will take 10 days.

Ozon has been developing its business in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) since 2021. The company already has operations and logistics infrastructure in Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

Ozon is one of the largest and most pioneering e-commerce companies in Russia, often referred to as the “Amazon of Russia,” offering millions of products across multiple categories and sustaining a wide logistics and delivery network.

Ozon held an IPO on Nasdaq in November 2020, reaching a valuation of US$6.2 billion, but subsequently announced a voluntary delisting in October 2023. In September 2025, Ozon completed the process of re-domiciliation to Kaliningrad and is now traded on the Moscow Stock Exchange. Annual profits growth the past two years has averaged over 50% as the company moves into Central Asian markets.
