Russia’s RusTrans Group marine container line has increased capacity for its service between Chinese ports and the Global Ports Far Eastern terminal (part of Russia’s Delo Group).
The Global Ports Far Eastern Terminal is one of the largest terminals in the Russian Far East. It’s part of the Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company (VSC) and has a direct connection to the Trans-Siberian Trunk Railway. The terminal handles a variety of cargo, including import, export, coastal, and transit containers, as well as general cargo. It also provides stevedoring and forwarding services, including a state-of-the-art picking warehouse. It is located in Wrangel Bay, which also serves as a major hub for exporting Russian coal to the Asia Pacific Region. Wrangel Island is named after Baron Ferdinand von Wrangel (1796–1870), who was a German explorer and seaman in the service of the Russian Empire.

According to the Delo Group, a second container ship, the Hong Li Chang Jiu , with a capacity of 1,100 TEU, is operating on the line. This increases the frequency of ship calls from three to six a month.
According to Global Ports, consumer goods will be delivered to Russia, including clothing, household items, machinery, and electronics. Products from the chemical, timber, and food industries will be exported to China.
In China, ship calls are carried out to Shanghai, Rizhao, and Qingdao (via a bonded barge). The Hong Li Chang Jiu is next scheduled to arrive in Shanghai on 15 August and at Wrangel Bay on 23 August.
The Global Ports Far Eastern Terminal and RusTrans Group also organize a regular service between Primorye and China’s Ningbo Port.
