The Philippines rose to third place among Russian pork importers in January-February 2026, the Agroexport federal center has stated, with Russia exporting more than 2,700 tonnes of pork to the Philippines worth over US$7 million in January and February.
Vietnam was the top buyer, with over 7,000 tonnes of pork purchased from Russia, and China was in second place with 6,000 tonnes. Fourth and fifth were Hong Kong and Mongolia, with over 1,000 tonnes each.
In total, Russia exported more than 19,000 tonnes of pork in January and February—excluding supplies to the Eurasian Economic Union.
The world’s largest pork consumers per capita are European: Croatia, Spain, Montenegro, and Poland—with the supply chain dynamics adequately illustrating Russia’s pivot to Asian markets.
