Vladivostok Marine Fishing Port Begins Service To Import Fish From China’s Qingdao

Vladivostok Marine Fishing Port (Vladmorrybport), a stevedoring company at Vladivostok, in the Russian Far East, has begun servicing a regular container service operated by FAST Shipping Line with the Chinese port of Qingdao, the company has said, stating, “Vladmorrybport received the first vessel, Gang Tong 19, on June 17. It is planned that the line will make two voyages per month, which should ensure an increase in supplies of Chinese food products to the Russian market.”

Vladmorrybport operates 11 docks at the Port of Vladivostok that have the capacity to handle 7.5 million tons of various types of cargo per year, including about 620,000 tons of fish products and 500,000 TEU of containerized cargo. The Vladmorrybport Group includes the stevedoring company, as well as refrigerated facilities in Vladivostok, Nakhodka, and Moscow.

Qingdao is a major seaport and naval base, as well as a commercial and financial center, and is known for its fishing industry. It was a German treaty port during the Chinese imperial era.
