Russia's Pivot To Asia: Issue 16

In this issue: Repercussions continue to reverberate in the MENA region following the collapse of the Assad regime, with Russia seeking additional regional footprints in Libya and Sudan should it lose Syrian assets. An upcoming issue for 2025 will be Russian legal action against Euroclear, which could go global and lead to serious financial implications for Europe. Elsewhere we examine a host of Russian outbound trade and investments that if it were called ‘China’ would be classed as Belt & Road Initiative projects, but being Russian are ignored. But Russia’s march to new markets in the global south continues apace.
