Russia has increased its exports of wheat to Africa by 35% in 10M this year, reaching over 21 million tonnes, according to the Russian Agriculture Ministry’s Agroexport center. Egypt, Algeria, and Kenya were the main importers of Russian wheat in Africa, but supplies also increased 6-fold to Morocco, and by 3.7 times to Nigeria.
Of note is that Egypt is a full BRICS member, Algeria a BRICS Partner nation, while Nigeria has expressed interest in joining.
