The number of meat product suppliers from Russia to Singapore has grown to 15, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) has said, with Singapore permitting four additional Russian exporters to supply finished meat products and meat and poultry by-products to their consumer market.
The Dmitrogorsk Meat Processing Plant (part of Agropromkomplektatsiya Group from Tver) received the right to supply finished poultry and pork meat products; Turbaslinski Broileri Bashkortostan received the right to supply meat and poultry by-products; Mezheninovskaya Poultry Farm (Tomsk) received the right to supply finished meat products as well as meat and poultry by-products, while a subsidiary of the Bryansk Meat Company is able export finished meat products to Singapore.
The Singaporean authority retains the right to conduct audits of enterprises approved for supply. To optimize and simplify trade, a decision has been made to carry out inspections based on the results of document analysis on a case-by-case basis for each specific manufacturer.
Singapore consumes 50% more meat per capita (including beef, sheep, pork, and poultry) than any other country in South-East Asia.
