Vladivostok-China Ports Maritime Freight Services Up 38% In Q1 2026

Russia’s FESCO Transportation Group transported over 74,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) via its FESCO China Direct Line (FCDL) sea service between Vladivostok and Chinese ports in January-March 2026, up 38% compared to the same period last year, the group said.

The growth was driven primarily by import shipments from China, which exceeded 58,000 TEU amid the reorientation of cargo flows from China in favor of Far Eastern ports. In the export direction, FCDL service shipments amounted to approximately 16,000 TEU.

The FCDL sea service is operated by FESCO’s own fleet and includes three regular container lines connecting Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (part of FESCO) with key ports in China, including Shanghai, Ningbo, Xingang, Dalian, Rizhao, Lianyungang, Yantian, Nansha, and others.

The service capacity is 5,000 TEU per week. In the future, FESCO plans to increase carrying capacity on the route between Chinese ports and Vladivostok. Overall, Russia-China trade increased by 15% during Q1 this year.
