The Far Eastern Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port has increased its container train dispatches from sea and land terminals by 60% to 341 trains over the first four months of 2026 compared to the same period last year.
The full work cycle of a reach stacker, including the capture of fish from a ship and loading onto the railway, now takes on average only 3 minutes. The port stated that “modern equipment and process optimization yield results.” And the commissioning of an additional railway track this year will contribute to an increase in throughput capacity and a reduction in cargo dispatch speed.”
From Vladivostok’s Mys Churkin station and the terminal of Vladmorrybport at Ugolnaya station, Russia’s Far Eastern sea catch for domestic market consumption proceeds directly to the largest distribution centers: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tolyatti, Novosibirsk, and Yekaterinburg. Popular seafood restaurants in Moscow include Erwin, La Perla in St.Petersburg, Avsteria in Tolyatti, Magadan in Novosibirsk and Rybalove in Yekaterinburg.
The Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port is located on the southern shore of the ice-free Golden Horn Bay with year-round navigation. The port’s transshipment capacities allow for the processing of more than 8 million tonnes of various cargo per annum, including more than 600,000 tonnes of fish cargo and about 500,000 TEU. The production capacity of the enterprise’s car terminal is more than 130,000 cars.
