Russia’s Pharmasyntez Group plans to boost the volume and range of its pharmaceutical exports to Africa, the company has stated.
The group already supplies medicines to Libya and is exploring opportunities to expand its export reach. Pharmasyntez is participating in tenders across various African countries and evaluating the prospects for direct supplies of pharmaceutical products to government clients. The group is also actively working on registering its pharmaceutical products in African countries.
Nikita Punia, Pharmasyntez Group Vice President for Commerce said that “Africa is a strategic direction for international development for us. We are consistently expanding our exports of pharmaceutical products and establishing long-term partnerships. We are already supplying products to the African market, building our registration portfolio, and exploring new opportunities for collaboration with public and commercial partners. We see significant potential for further developing the continent’s pharmaceutical market.”
Pharmasyntez Group comprises seven factories in Irkutsk, Bratsk, Tyumen, Ussuriysk, Kaluga, Moscow, and St. Petersburg. Its annual production volume exceeds 100 million packages, and its drug portfolio includes over 350 products, primarily generics. The group’s parent company is located in Irkutsk.
