Russia's Pivot To Asia: Issue 83

There have been two major diplomatic meetings this past week involving Russia’s engagement with Indonesia and with China. We carry detailed reports on both. In addition, we feature an exclusive article by a Russian state advisor concerning the Russian perspective of the coming multilateral world and the impact upon the United States (which is driving this change), the European Union, China, and the United Kingdom. In addition, we feature detailed overviews on the rapid emergence of the Northern Sea Route in light of Middle Eastern supply chain failures, as well as an overview of the implications of a global Helium shortage. We see increasing commodity supply chains being hit where the US has excess capacity and can manipulate most global markets to its whims. We also look at the replacement of freedom of maritime passage being replaced by tariffs and gunboats and what this could mean if expanded into other regions. Elsewhere, Russia has ratified a Free Trade Agreement with the UAE, while we also cover trade developments with Turkiye, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and a massively increasing Russian diplomatic presence in Africa.
