Russia’s Red Wings To Fly Krasnodar-Bodrum Direct From June to October 

Russia’s Red Wings airline is to start direct flights from Krasnodar to Bodrum in Turkiye during the period June-October to cater for the summer holiday season. Krasnodar airport was closed for three years between 2022-25 due to the special operation in nearby Ukraine. Russian tourists have become a sought-after commodity as they have higher levels of disposable income than Europeans and spend more at their destinations.

Russia, Vietnam Sign Nuclear Power Plant Agreement

Russia and Vietnam have signed Nuclear Energy Agreements that pave the way for the development of a NPP in Vietnam. The agreement provides for the construction of a 2,400 MW NPP, and regulates the terms and key areas of cooperation between the parties in implementing the project. Rosatom Begins Construction Of Uzbekistan Nuclear Power Plant

Russia’s Rosatom nuclear energy company have begun pouring concrete as part of the initial construction process for Uzbekistan’s NPP in the Jizzakh region. It is part of the construction of a small nuclear power plant unit with a RITM-200N reactor and is expected to provide about 14% of Uzbekistan’s total energy needs.

Khabarovsk Highway To Be Extended to Border With China At Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island

Russia is to upgrade and extend the Khabarovsk Highway to include a specific Bolshoy Ussuri Island exit that will lead directly to the border crossing in China. The checkpoint will be fully operational in 2028 and will be able to process 250 trucks, 50 buses, and 100 passenger cars per day, with a total annual cargo turnover of 1.3 million tonnes. At present the crossing is conducted by ferry across the Amur River.
